Friends here in this example , The mass is given in the unit of SI unit which is kg, but the speed is given in the km/hr which is not SI unit, the SI unit of speed or velocity is m/s. So we have to make conversion between km/hr to m/s
Let we see the easy and short cut way to Convert it
1km/hr = ..................... m/s ??
1km =1000m
1hr= 60 Minuit
1Minuit =60 second
so 1hr = 3600 seconds
1km/hr= 1000 /3600 m/s
= 10/36
1km/h =5/18
so friends when you want to convert the speed from km/hr to m/s you can directly find with multiplication of 5/18
for Example
speed given in above example is 72 km/hr
72 km /hr = ................m/s ??
72*5/18= 20 m/s
so in this way you can easily convert the unit of velocity.
Excersice;
1) 60km/hr = ..... m/s ?
2) 216 m/s = ...... km/hr
3) what is SI unit of momentum ?
4) one object of 5 kg moving with velocity 25 m/s what will be the momentum of object ?
5)find the examples of conservation law of momentum from everyday life

Using this formula we can calculate the velocity of any object ,or mass of object or momentum of object , Object should be a part of isolated system on which we applying the law of conservation of momentum.
Try to solve it
Example 1One ship moving with speed of 72 km /hr,one accident occurred and ship broken down into two parts, one part of 4000 kg become rest and another part of 1000 kg is moving with certain velocity, calculate that certain velocity of this part. The total mass of ship is 50000 kg.
